Sound Lab A120E Jack Plug Lead

This is for two handy 2 metre insert cables from SoundLAB, often used for connecting mixers to outboard gear such as compressors, EQ's and mastering processors via the insert points on a mixing desk.

They can also be used for separating stereo audio into two mono tracks. Use the single stereo 1/4" jack connector at one end to feed into two mono 1/4" jack connectors at the other, hence the term Y-lead. For example, take the headphone output from a keyboard and connect it into two channels of a mixer.

They are also useful for combining two mono signals onto a single stereo plug. The two mono 1/4" jack connectors at one end combine into a single stereo 1/4" jack connector at the other. For example you can feed Left and Right from a mixer into a headphone amp that has a stereo jack input.

The tip of one of the mono jack plugs is wired to the tip of the stereo jack plug. The other mono jack is wired to the ring. The bodies of both mono jack are connected to the body of the stereo jack.

We also supply Y-leads with 3.5mm mini jacks and/or phono plugs. Any non-standard leads can be made to order in our workshop.
